{Eat Your Coffee} Newgrounds Foods+ Discount Code

Hello cupcakes!

I want to introduce you to a way to eat your coffee!

So, I am a huge coffee addict... but I have acid reflux which prevents me from being able to drink my daily coffee. I know, I know... sad day right? Well I recently came across this new company called New Grounds Food. Their motto is Eat Your Coffee. What really made me interested in trying these bars out was actually the ingredient list. I'll fill you in more on that later in the post.

The idea was created by two college freshman who didn't have time to eat breakfast or drink coffee before heading to morning classes. To read more about their story, follow this link: {Story}

Their mission: "New Grounds Food is on a mission to create caffeinated snacks, made from real, whole food, ingredients, to keep you energized for all of life's adventures."

The company also made a commitment: "Every box of CoffeeBars keeps one child in school in Coyol, Nicaragua for an entire week." To read more about this, follow this link: {Impact}

The bars are created with whole food ingredients: real coffee (no synthetic caffeine), oats, chia, cashews, dates, and chocolate. All of the bars are vegan, gluten free, & organic.

Now let me walk you through each flavor:

Caramel Macchiato

The nutrition break down per bar is: 180 calories, 4.5 g fat, 32 g carbs, 3 g fiber, 10 g sugar, & 3 g protein

Each energy bar contains a full cup of real coffee. Overall, this bar was probably my least favorite out of all three bars. It was a little dry, but you could taste the hint of caramel.

Coconut Mocha

This flavor was my absolute favorite! I would totally buy this flavor again. I am a huge sucker for anything coconut, chocolate, and coffee flavor. If you love all three of these things, then you will also love this bar.

One cool thing about these bars is you can purchase them on Amazon. Here is a discount code if you shop on Amazon: "CB20TOFB" this will get you 20% off!

Mocha Latte

This flavor ranks second for me. What I loved about this flavor was the chunks of chocolate throughout. Who else loves chocolate? These bars make the perfect snack because you can take them anywhere. I took mine hiking the other day. When I reached the peak of the mountain I had burned over 700 calories. I needed the fuel and energy for the rest of the hike.

So, once again... here is the link to their website: {New Grounds Food}

I hope you all have a fantastic day.

A little bit about the benefits of {Collagen Peptides}:

"This natural anti-aging protein supports youthful skin, strong bones, reduces joint pain, and provides deeper, more restorative sleep. Collagen peptides are short chain amino acids naturally derived from pasture-raised, grass-fed collagen protein. Unlike gelatin, these peptides are soluble in cold liquids as well as hot. Collagen peptides contain the same amino acids as gelatin which are identical to the protein found in skin, nails, hair, bones, cartilage, and joints. Gluten Free, rBGH Free, Non GMO."

{Simple Squares}

HELLO CUPCAKES!

I hope you are all having a fantastic day! Since moving to Cali, I have came across many great companies. I am so excited to share this one with you. I love products with short, healthy ingredient lists. Have you ever looked at a packaged food's ingredient list? Sometimes I can't even pronounce some of the ingredients, and I want to know what I am putting into my body.

With a busy schedule, I like to have items that I can throw into my purse or lunch box for a quick snack.

These are also Paleo, gluten free, & dairy free!

Check out all these flavor options. They have sweet & savory!

Now let me tell you a little bit about the company...

Here is a quote from their website:

"Here at SIMPLE Brands™ we’re on a mission to create simple, great tasting and healthy snacks. Our flagship products, SIMPLE Squares®, are savory-sweet, organic nutrition bars infused with honey and herbs.
Headquartered in Chicago, IL, we strive to transform our grab-and-go food culture from one focused on preservatives to one that embraces whole foods."

There is also a story about Simple Squares from founder Kimberly Crupi Dobbins: {Kimberly's Story}

There are 8 flavors of Simple Squares, so let me walk you through each one:

1) Cho-coco

This flavor has these ingredients: organic nuts, organic honey, organic chocolate (dairy free), organic vanilla, organic sea salt

I love the hint of chocolate in this bar. The sweetness is the perfect amount, not too sweet but also not too plain. I love anything chocolate.

2) Coconut

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt.

Coconut is also one of my favorite flavors, so this one ranks at the top (I will rank these at the end of the post by flavor). I will be eating this one again for sure!

3) Cinna-clove

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt, organic herbs (cloves & cinnamon).

This one will probably be my fall fav! I love to eat all things cinnamon from September-November haha!

4) Ginger

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt, & organic ginger.

I am not a huge fan of ginger flavor, but this one was pretty good. The ginger was not over powering. Simple squares team, you may turn me onto the ginger!

5) Rosemary

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt, & rosemary

I was a little hesitant to try this flavor because I love all things sweet. After trying, I was surprised. This flavor was actually decent. You could totally make something savory out of this bar. My idea was top it with some pizza sauce & make it into a little pizza or another savory little bite.

6) Sage

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt, & sage

Another flavor I was hesitant about, but Simple Squares did a good job of creating a bar for people who love savory. I would love to top this flavor with some dairy free cheese & jerky.

7) Chili Pep

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt, & organic chili pepper.

I am not a huge fan of sweet & spicy, but I feel like people that like this flavor combo would love this flavor of Simple Squares. There is a little kick with a hint of sweetness after from the honey.

8) Coffee

Ingredients: organic nuts (cashew, almond, coconut), organic honey, organic vanilla, organic sea salt, & organic coffee beans.

Okay, okay... I saved the best for last. This was hands down my favorite flavor! I love things that are coffee flavored. I would totally eat this one again!

Now here is my rankings of the bars by flavor:
1) Coffee
2) Coconut
3)Cho-coco
4) Cinna-Clove
5) Rosemary
6) Ginger
7) Sage
8) Chili Pep

What do you think your favorite flavor would be?
