Take away tip from today: Listen to your body! If something doesn't feel right, your body is trying to tell you something. I had to figure this out the hard way.
Today I want you to find something you are thankful for and reflect on it. Today I am thankful for my boyfriend and everything he has done for me. I will not go into all the mushy details I am thinking about, but find something you are thankful for. I also challenge you to find a body part you are thankful for. I am thankful for my left foot because it has healed and my left leg has strengthen so much since this picture was taken in September (my boyfriend bought me Colts tickets for my bday).
I created some guilt free brownies after the gym this morning. Some of you who like to measure everything may not like my recipe too much because I did not measure anything. I just took a overripe banana and mashed with a fork. I stirred in maybe 1/4 c. of cocoa powder, 1 whole egg, baking soda maybe 1/4 tsp or less, and maybe 1 T of melted coconut oil. The batter should be a little thicker but taste it and see if it tastes good, if you think you need more cocoa powder you can add more. I poured the batter onto an aluminum foil lined round cake pan (try to keep it to one side of the pan) or you could use a bread pan. Bake in oven 375 (F) for 15 minutes. YUMMM!
Be thankful, reflective, and listen to your body!
Later Taters!
Those brownies sound amazing!! I was thinking, and what if you did a 30 day challenge of some sort (fitness, of course)! Your followers could check in and comment their success and struggles! Just a thought. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing!! I really like the idea of a 30 day challenge. I have a few ideas. Thank you so much for the input and initiative to comment and let me know what you would like to see on the blog! You help inspire me :D
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! Seriously, your blog has helped me!! Last week I ate so unhealthy (it was on my birthday) and I was so upset with myself because I had been doing well. I can't wait to see the 30 day challenge! :) :)
ReplyDeleteIt was 1 day I ate poorly, not the entire week. I had to clarify that.
ReplyDeleteI think one cheat day (especially if it is your birthday) is totally acceptable! Everyone needs one of those every now and then. One bad day is not going to ruin your progress. Just like one day of eating healthy won't make you healthy automatically. I say enjoy that day as much as you can and want, and then get back on track the next day! :D Smile and remember those memories
ReplyDeleteThanks, girl! Have you tried the matcha (hope it isn't chalky)?!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it yet because it is at my parents' house and I am at school :(
